Accessibility & Usability Resource Site – NEW for QM members

The Quality Matters community worked together to create a new Accessibility & Usability Resource Site (AURS). The site provides guidance to individuals who are looking for information about how to make courses accessible for all learners, and more specifically, how to apply Standard 8.  The resource site is meant to be a go-to resource related to addressing key accessibility and usability concerns such as:

  • Universal Design
  • Alternative Text
  • Video captioning
  • Accessible MS Office products
  • …And more

Forums allow you to connect directly with accessibility experts  peers who have expertise in designing accessible courses. And videos show you step-by-step changes you can make to increase the accessibility of your course.

Register for Access at the QM website. There is no cost but you will need a QM account to access this site.

  • Create accessible photo images, diagrams, and charts for online courses.
  • Create accessible audio and video components for online courses.
  • Create accessible HTML content pages for online courses.
