Last Call for FY16 Peer Reviewer Training

If you were planning on completing the Quality Matters Peer Reviewer course yet this fiscal year, there are only a few weeks left during which you can register and receive a discounted cost.  Those who complete the Peer Reviewer course and become certified as a QM Peer Reviewer are eligible to serve on peer review teams for other colleges and universities across the U.S. as well as here in Minnesota.

The cost to register is $100 for MnSCU faculty or staff when registration is completed through the MOQI registration page.  The cost is $200 if you register directly with QM.

Pre-requisites: Successful completion of the Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) workshop (completed either online or face-to-face)

The Peer Reviewer Course (PRC) is designed to prepare experienced online faculty to become Quality Matters Certified Peer Reviewers.  This QM certification course is a two-week course only available online directly from Quality Matters.  It includes a review of Quality Matters, practice critiquing and writing helpful recommendations, and a Practice Review in which the participants are asked to review specific standards in an online course using a simulated online rubric tool.

The PRC may also be taken by others who have taken the APPQMR and are interested in learning more about the peer reviewer role.  Instructional designers or faculty who do not have current online teaching experience may take the PRC to meet institutional goals of conducting internal reviews (that do not lead to QM recognition).  For more information about the PRC, see http://www.qmprogram.org/professional-development/courses/prc

Register by May 30 to receive your discounted seat.
