Registration Now Open For QM Workshops and D2L Regional Conference

QM Pre-Conference Workshops – April 3

The Minnesota Online Quality Initiative is hosting several Quality Matters workshops on April 3, 2014 at the Edina location of Minnesota State University, Mankato (7700 France Avenue S., Edina, MN).  This workshop day is being held as a “pre-conference” event the day before the Minnesota Desire2Learn Ignite Regional User’s Forum 2014 being held on April 4 in Bloomington. (It’s only 10 minutes from the Ignite conference hotel location to the Pre-conference workshops.)

Choose from four different workshops.  Register early – each session is limited to 20 participants.  Workshop registration fees have been paid by MnSCU so there will be no charge to participants.

  • Session 1: Creating a Foundation with Learning Objectives (Standard 2)
  • Session 2: Improving Your Online Course (IYOC)
  • Session 3: Connecting Learning Objectives and Assessments (Standards 2 & 3)
  • Session 4: Designing Your Online Course (DYOC)

D2L Ignite Regional User Conference 2014 – April 4

Registration is now open for the Minnesota Desire2Learn Ignite Regional User Conference 2014, to be held Friday, April 4, 2014 from 8a.m. – 4p.m. (Note: This is a regional conference which is different from the annual Fusion.)

Sponsored by Desire2Learn and held at the Minneapolis Airport Marriott, in Minneapolis, this user conference is open to all Minnesota State Colleges and Universities faculty and staff and K-12 educators. Users from other states are also welcome. The conference will showcase many aspects of teaching and learning with technology, but especially focuses on Desire2Learn (D2L), a learning management system and The Quality Matters Program™, a peer review process that supports the design of quality online and blended courses.
